Our Wines

Pear Valley was once a pear orchard nurtured on remarkable agricultural soils.  We recognized the perfect place for grape-growing success to be in our own fertile backyard.  UC Davis alumnus and winemaker James Hendon partnered with us and together we are keenly dedicated to green practices, constantly working towards a minimal carbon footprint.

With grapes from varietals grown in three limited-production vineyards, James has at his fingertips premium fruit of French and Italian descent: pinot noir, malbec, chardonnay, mourvedre, merlot, cabernet franc, zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, grenache, petit verdot, agliancio and moscato.  Our most unique vintage is named  "Distraction".  It is a Bordeaux blend so named because wine is my  "Distraction.   We currently produce approximately 4,000 cases of handcrafted varietals and blends per year.

Our philosophy is to grow the best fruit possible and then interfere as little as possible.  Our goal is to create unique vintages that reflect vibrant fruit nourished by ancient soils under ideal climate conditions while leaving little impact on the environment.   Kathleen and I cordially invite novice wine drinkers, enthusiasts, and connoisseurs a taste of the naturally good life captured in each bottle of our Pear Valley wine.

Enjoy the "Distraction"
